This IDC study discusses the worldwide software-defined storage controller software (SDS-CS) forecast for 2023–2027.
“In a world defined by relentless data growth and the need for enterprise digital transformation, we expect for the role of SDS (and by extension, SDS-CS) only to proliferate over the next several years as organizations modernize and enhance their data strategies,” said Greg Macatee, senior research analyst, Infrastructure Systems, Platforms and Technologies group at IDC. “Growth of FOBS offerings and SDS-CS in the cloud will remain the market’s key drivers over the next several years, resulting in an overall market growth rate that should consistently be in double-digit territory on an annual basis.”
