Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides a ranking of attributes for observability solutions providing intelligence and insights into conditions and components across an entire end-to-end digital infrastructure. It draws a focus on not only domain-specific attributes that serve individual technology domains such as networking, computing, security, and applications but also overarching attributes that serve to unify an observability thrust across all portions of the IT organization — from engineering to operations to support. This IDC Survey Spotlight contains a select data view from IDC's Worldwide Observability Thought Leadership Survey conducted in March 2023. The highlighted data chart presents a view of total responses gathered from across the globe, but supporting analysis provides an additional view into attribute priorities by region, company size, and vertical industry.
