This IDC study provides vendor market share data for the worldwide software-defined storage controller software (SDS-CS) market in 2022.
"SDS-CS sales remained a bright spot of the overall storage software secondary market, growing 15.9% in 2022," said Greg Macatee, senior research analyst, Infrastructure Systems, Platforms and Technologies group, IDC. "We continue to observe promising opportunity for SDS-CS suppliers in the SDS and file- and object-based storage (FOBS) spaces as vendors compete for share and prolonged growth. SDS-CS sales in the cloud should also remain a growth driver."
