Abstract
This IDC Survey analyzes and examines how the use of containers for the purpose of running workload applications compares to how much a workload can benefit from containerization. Infrastructure supporting containerized workloads is becoming a growing segment of overall enterprise infrastructure spend. However, the containerization of workload applications is still a new development for many organizations, and many are still determining strategies for implementation. A lack of understanding about which workloads best benefit from containerization can lead to a significant loss in time and resources. This IDC Survey looks at the critical information of which workloads are seen as working most effectively in a containerized environment, especially as seen within different market segments.
