This IDC Market Perspective examines the private mobile network contracts officially announced during 1H23 with comparisons to previous data. The contracts provide a view into the differences in private 4G/5G network deployments by geographic region, technology, and vertical market and, most importantly, for mobile operators, whether the contract includes the involvement of a communications service provider and managed services component.
"The private mobile network market is still in its infancy stage and growing, with mobile service providers being one of many players trying to gain market share and establish themselves as market leaders," says Jitesh Bhayani, research vice president for Worldwide Telecommunications Services at IDC.
