Abstract
This IDC Survey findings draws data from IDC's Worldwide IoT Services Survey, conducted in October 2022. This survey determines the drivers of the adoption of IoT services from engineering service providers, evaluates the contract length and value, and showcases the challenges that enterprises face related to these services.
The worldwide sample size of 503 respondents included enterprises from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, China, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan, from a variety of industries and organization sizes ranging from 500 employees to more than 10,000 employees. The target segment is defined as the users and intenders of IoT services availed from third-party digital engineering and operational technology service providers.
