This IDC Survey provides perspectives on consumer sentiment and buying behavior toward mobile 5G services from IDC's 2023 U.S. Consumer Communications and Mobile Services Survey. This survey was completed in July 2023, and it covered the perspectives of 2,001 respondents from a variety of demographic and socioeconomic backgrounds. The survey seeks to understand current and future 5G wireless service adoption among U.S. consumer mobile subscribers, including 5G uptake rates, impact on mobile phone usage patterns, and factors that influence the choice of a 5G provider.
