Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insight into the importance of trust centers in determining purchasing decisions. Here we display the 2022 and 2023 results of the following question: "You mentioned that your organization strongly considered, but then decided to not use [insert vendor] as your provider. Which of the following was the biggest compliance-related weakness of this provider," which was asked in the 2022 and 2023 IDC's Worldwide Future of Trust Surveys. Responses to this question show the potential reasons that vendor was not selected, which we can then compare with the vendors that were selected and why.
Pillars of IDC's Trust Framework are security, privacy, compliance, and ESG. Companies with strong trust centers do much to engender trust from their customers.
