Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines how digital businesses are considering the value of their security investments in relation to other spending areas. Growing concerns of economic recession are driving businesses to look for areas to cut spending in accordance with expectations for tightening budgets. The survey findings are designed to help technology vendors understand how to meet the changing priorities of the CEO and can serve as peer reference research for CEOs in the enterprise. This insight is based on the full set of respondents of IDC's Worldwide CEO Survey, conducted in March 2023. Respondents include 395 organizations with over 100 respondents in North America, Asia/Pacific, and Europe. This document focuses on spending and technology priorities and compares differences between respondents based on region, industry, and organizational size.
