This IDC study provides a view of U.S. augmented reality market shares by vendor for 2022.
"The U.S. AR market continues its evolution, this time seeing smaller vendors gain at the expense of larger and more established ones," points out Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's AR/VR team. "Nreal's arrival in the United States brought new attention to gaming on AR devices, challenging the status quo that tilted heavily in favor of commercial usage. Meanwhile, commercial users — wary of the challenges in the U.S. economy — have pulled back slightly until recovery returns. We expect this trend to continue in 2023."
