This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the differences in how organizations architect, deploy, and manage edge computing solutions in relation to their overall cloud infrastructure strategy.
"For applications that are sensitive to network latency or have specific deployment location requirements, edge computing has become an essential complement to cloud infrastructure," says Dave McCarthy, research vice president, Cloud and Edge Infrastructure Services at IDC.
