Abstract
This IDC Market Presentation provides insights into enterprise plans for workload repatriation explored in two server and storage workloads surveys completed in October 2022 and in April 2023. Repatriation of enterprise workloads from public cloud into a dedicated infrastructure environment is a common practice of workload-centric IT strategies and is tightly tied to establishing and running hybrid clouds. In these surveys, respondents were asked to not only indicate whether they have any repatriation plans but also estimate the magnitude of repatriation activity. Results of this analysis are also included in this presentation, along with a comparison of how repatriation plans have changed in the course of the six months passed between the two surveys.
