Abstract
This IDC Tech Buyer Presentation provides a glimpse into the first City Tech Conference. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government convened its first City Tech Conference on February 27 and 28, 2023. The event had over 26,000 in-person and online attendees, 338 start-ups, and an impressive agenda of speakers and panelists. The focus of the conference was to progress the development of the innovation and start-up ecosystem around city tech and solving current urban challenges.
Ruthbea Yesner, VP of IDC's Government, Education and Smart Cities and Communities, was invited to the event to speak on the development of Smart City ecosystems. This presentation provides a glimpse into the conference through her eyes for those in government, vendors that serve government, and who were not able to attend.
