This IDC Survey Spotlight draws data from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey from December 2022 and explores the benefits of flexible work models across the three key regions of North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.
Employees increasingly want flexible work models ("hybrid," "flexible," "onsite first") with options to work both in the office and remotely, even beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. While there is a common perception that flexible work options benefit employees, employers recognize that they too can reap benefits. A flexible work model contributes to the success of the digital business, with secure access to resources for all workers, improved team collaboration across in-person and remote environments, and enhanced employee as well as customer experiences.
