Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides a view on U.S. enterprise sentiments for which application modernization tactics they would most likely pursue in the next 12-24 months. The document contains data from IDC's Application Services Survey, which was completed in December 2021. IDC's Worldwide Intelligent Application Services practice conducted this survey to understand enterprise preferences for application modernization as well as other application services. The overall goal of the survey was to identify how organizations' preferences around application development and life-cycle management are evolving and how application service providers can align their services offerings to address varied customer needs.
"Application services providers should understand how buyer organizations are approaching application modernization to better support evolving customer needs as well as maintain deeper customer relationships in an increasingly competitive environment," explained Pete Marston, research director, Worldwide Intelligent Application Services at IDC.
