This IDC study analyzes U.S. communication service providers' fixed-line voice and data revenue in the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market.
"The U.S. cable operators continue to gain market share in the wireline voice and data markets for SMBs by providing robust, reliable connectivity; multiple voice options; and localized sales and customer support services," said Jason Blackwell, research director for SMB Communications Services at IDC. "However, everyone is facing pressures as revenue is shifting from fixed-line services to mobile. The winners will need to offer customizable solutions and bundles to help SMBs solve critical business problems."
