Abstract
This IDC Perspective discusses the CIO's role in supporting Enterprise Agility. In the past several years, the enterprise beyond IT has recognized the benefits of Agile concepts. The value of Agile concepts has taken root in many enterprises that have adopted Agile to rapidly change the direction of the organization.
"Enterprise Agility is not synonymous with the use of Agile in IT organizations," says Ron Babin, adjunct analyst with IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP). "Enterprise Agility may be seen in the ways it builds business impact, enhances customer relations and employee engagement, and improves financial performance."
