Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight presents the results of a survey conducted in November 2022, among 220 IT channel partners in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region. The aim of the survey was to determine the kind of business models organizations in Nigeria are currently adopting, particularly with regard to managed and cloud services.

“Managed services and cloud services have emerged as the two most strategic services adopted by channel partners in Nigeria. Customers in Nigeria have decided to utilize both managed and cloud services to improve their operational efficiencies and enhance focus on their core business. Demand for hybrid cloud-based deployments including customer relationship management (CRM) and collaborative applications have recently increased as a result. Global cloud providers looking to capitalize on the cloud opportunity in Nigeria therefore need to continuously invest in the market by providing business development and presales support to local channel partners.” — Research Manager for IT Services, Derrick Chikanga, IDC META
