Abstract
This study forecasts spending in the Japan edge infrastructure (hardware) market. The Japan edge infrastructure market is expected to grow in the future, and by technology domain, IDC believes that the SP domain and the IoT domain in particular will grow at a high rate and will be the growth markets to watch. Note that this market forecast is based on IDC's Worldwide Edge Spending Guide (Edge Spending Guide) for the first half of 2022.
Masayuki Shimokawabe, Enterprise Infrastructure Research Manager at IDC Japan, explains, "The Japan edge infrastructure market is expected to grow at a high rate in the future. However, the edge area is so vast that IT vendors need to take a bird's-eye view of the entire edge infrastructure business, segment the business areas, and select focus areas in detail."
