Abstract
This IDC Market Presentation examines the need for communication service providers (SPs) in Europe to explore the provision of specific value-added services on top of connectivity. In a bid to secure their revenues, European telecom operators are transitioning away from being purely connectivity providers, a move that requires them to fully align their offerings with customer needs. To do this properly, organizations must develop deep insights into the specific needs of individual customers, and device-centric offerings are a great place to start given how tightly coupled to connectivity such offerings are.
