This IDC Market Presentation charts the progression of readiness of ICT practitioners to incorporate sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into their business operations. The framework assesses the status of ICT practitioners on their journey to becoming sustainable enterprises.
The established methodological framework leverages input from 1,800 respondents to IDC's Worldwide Sustainability Maturity Survey and is complemented by IDC expertise in qualitative and quantitative primary research techniques.
Organizations globally are distributed across five readiness stages that represent the level of adoption across the key sustainability essentials (i.e. availability of financing, accountability and governance, metrics used to measure, and operational practices).
