Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight identifies the progress made by European organizations with data collection for sustainability reporting and management. Survey results from IDC EMEA's Future Enterprise Resilience and Spending Survey, April 2023, indicate the slow pace of companies in gathering data despite looming regulations.
"Organizational siloes and disjointed processes are creating data fragmentation, which complicated the process of data collection and integration," said Angela Salmeron, research director, EMEA Sustainable Strategies and Technologies, IDC. "Given looming regulations and tight timescales, IDC expects ESG management software as well as advisory and technology services will be in demand."
