The Impact of Rising Energy Costs and New Energy Supply Scenarios on European Organizations
Abstract
This IDC Survey examines the results of IDC's Global Technology Thought Leadership group monthly survey (IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey). In wave 11 of the survey, conducted in December 2022, IDC asked IT decision makers how they expect to address concerns about external storms of disruption.
This presentation focuses on results at the European level, assessing organizations' response to the current energy crisis in the region. It also compares European organizations' responses with worldwide results in terms of the way industries expect to combat high energy prices and potential risk of shortages, and the impact of these concerns on IT spending and energy consumption. Survey results highlight how organizations increasingly rely on technology investments to thrive during crisis.
