Abstract
This IDC Survey summarizes key trends around unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), based on IDC's 2023 European Enterprise Communications and Collaboration Survey. Looking at the migration to cloud-based UC and the most collaboration tools and videoconferencing features, we see that videoconferencing systems hardware are the most used currently, usually in combination with collaboration tools. Adoption of both private and public UCaaS will increase over the next two years to enable businesses to support modern workloads. There will be instances of on-premises deployments for specific lines of work and/or regulatory requirements. Users will need to be able to connect to a variety of video platforms and there is now a stronger focus on meeting inclusivity, which can be enhanced by AI and automation advancements.
