Abstract
This IDC Survey examines the 2024 IT services budget outlook. IDC's Global Technology Thought Leadership group conducts a monthly survey (IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey) to understand how IT and business leaders in enterprises around the world are assessing risks and addressing cost management for their growing portfolio of technology resources. IDC also asked IT decision-makers to indicate how concerns about inflation, recession skills shortages, and other developments affected 2024 budget decisions across all major IT sectors as well as cloud infrastructure, PaaS, and application/dev software/SaaS. This IDC Survey covers the Canadian results of the survey and was conducted in December 2023 while IT leaders were finalizing technology budget plans for 2024. They reflect the attitudes and expectations as of that moment in time. The sample size for Canada is n = 101.
