Abstract
This IDC Survey focuses on enterprise WAN services, with insights on providers in Canada including satisfaction level changes year over year, year-over-year changes to intentions to switch WAN service providers, and insights on WAN contract lengths and pricing schemes. Insights on utilization of main WAN providers as main IT service providers are also provided. This Survey discusses the number of WAN ports in use at Canadian businesses and examines WAN speeds, technologies, geographical reach, external management of networks, and spending on WAN by business size. This Survey also examines year-over-year changes in WAN technology adoption by business size.
Also included are insights on internet access providers, including satisfaction levels and intentions to switch, and internet access technologies in use.
This is a refresh of IDC's annual communications survey of enterprises of all size segments, across all regions and vertical markets in Canada. Unlike previous years where all data for all topics was delivered in one survey document, this year IDC is publishing multiple topic–focused survey documents from our annual survey to share more findings and to help our users find relevant topic-based data more easily.
