Abstract

This IDC Survey examines the Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) digital executives' business and technology key business transformation metrics for 2023 and beyond. Macro uncertainties and increased cost of capital have shifted unbridled growth orientation toward sustainable growth centered on profitability, efficiency, and lasting competitive advantage. As part of this shift, leading organizations are showing that creating ecosystem and environmental impact through digital capabilities also benefit financial performance. Technology vendors that connect financial performance with this new digital value will benefit the most in helping organizations navigate the ongoing storms of disruption.

The report aims to help tech vendors' sales and marketing leaders align their value propositions to technology buyers' key business outcomes and value metrics through the lens of IDC Future Enterprise Digital Value Framework. It is based on analysis of a subset of APJ respondents of the IDC's Worldwide Digital Executive Sentiment Survey conducted from October to November 2022. Respondents include 810 APJ technology decision makers involved in corporate strategy formulation from 13 Asia/Pacific countries and across 14 industries.
