Abstract


This report examines the business and technology priorities and challenges of digital executives in Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) for 2023 and beyond. As APJ organizations face increasing macroeconomic disruptions along with a post-pandemic digital-first marketplace, their focus has shifted toward sustainable growth. To succeed, organizations must transform their business model, operations, and organizations by enabling digital value creation, accelerating innovation in digital products and services, and digitally upskilling their workforce. Emerging approaches of leading organizations show that they are building toward a digital business platform to enable these enterprisewide changes.

For technology sales and marketing leaders, they must demonstrate how today’s digital investments enable future innovation and growth. This can be done by connecting technology and services to critical technology levers — experience-led, intelligent, cloud-based, automated, and trusted. Doing this shows a path to realize the digital business vision, along with tangible short- and long-term benefits to ensure sustained investments despite challenging macroeconomic conditions and uncertainty.
