Abstract

This IDC Survey is a three-part series that explores the Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) C-suite perspectives on the state of the economy and their business and technology priorities and challenges for 2023. The series aims to help technology vendors understand how to meet buyers' changing priorities in facing storms of disruptions (i.e., inflation and recession, talent shortages) while accelerating transformation efforts to become digital businesses.

This document is part three of the series. It provides insights into functional/lines-of-business business and technology priorities for 2023 and how APJ C-suite executives are aiming to break functional silos, discover technology levers, and unlock new value through business transformation. The report also examines how they are using digital key performance indicators to guide cross-functional collaborations. Technology vendors will find insights to connect value delivery with long-term business transformation initiatives.

This analysis is based on a subset of APJ respondents from IDC's 2022 Worldwide C-Site Sentiments Survey conducted in August 2022. Respondents included 247 C-level technology decision makers from APJ organizations with US$100 million in revenue.
