Abstract
This IDC Perspective document highlights some vendor announcements in the generative AI (GenAI) tech domain. It includes IDC's perspective on pertaining trends in Asia/Pacific, including recent launches of solutions and services, how regional vendor initiatives, projects, and partnerships play against global providers, and how the ecosystem of vendors, governments, and end users are responding.
"The next 18–24 months are expected to be exciting periods for AI investments and initiatives, thanks to GenAI. Although large language models and image models currently dominate the discussion, we anticipate the availability of additional multimodal foundation models shortly.
