Winners' Tales: Getting Ready for the Future of Work
Abstract
This IDC Perspective takes a closer look at how organizations shifted their business models and/or workflows by leveraging future-ready technologies, one of the nine digital agenda items characterizing the future enterprise. The three case studies analyzed in this IDC Perspective showcase how the Asia/Pacific winners of the Future Enterprise Awards in Future of Work have employed technologies to benefit their organizations and employees and imply even broader applications to other industries. Great Western Water (GWW) increased cybersecurity awareness for not only their employees but also their families by making the knowledge into an interactive and engaging game. China Southern Airlines Company Limited has saved tens of thousands of hours for their employees with the Digital Employee Center. Hong Kong Telecom Limited (HKT Limited) made it safer for its workers in the field by operating drones in hazardous areas.
