Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the factors impeding technology buyers from achieving real-time operational processes and automation. Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) organizations are aiming to improve productivity and profitability as their top business outcomes. However, they are lacking integrated processes with real-time information exchange across functions and enterprisewide automation.
To capture the business transformation opportunities, technology vendors that use Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity, clouding computing, and data analytics to address challenges in legacy operational technology (OT) infrastructure, data integration, and governance and compliance are best positioned to succeed.
