Abstract
This IDC Perspective provides insights and recommendations for multinational healthcare organizations looking to accelerate their respective generative AI (GenAI) strategies based on discussion with Virtus Health's chief digital health officer, Jorge Silveira, on GenAI adoption in healthcare. With more than 40 fertility clinics, 63 laboratories, and seven hospitals worldwide, Virtus Health is one of the top five global providers of assisted reproductive services with presence in Australia, Singapore, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Denmark. The company has piloted several GenAI-powered solutions across various parts of the business.
IDC believes in 2025, most enterprises will launch brands, products, and services that depend upon the tight integration of diverse AI services to reduce response times and staffing costs for meaningful outcomes to previously underserved customer segments.
"AI-driven solutions will advance beyond automation to deliver product design that understands and anticipates user needs, creating a more immersive and tailored user experience," says Linus Lai, VP of research and chief research analyst for Australia and New Zealand. "Enterprises that can tap into this trend, offering innovative solutions that seamlessly weave AI capabilities into everyday applications, will be at the forefront of this transformative wave in which companies no longer compete just on brand or price but on the intelligence and adaptability of their offerings."
