Abstract

This IDC study reveals how organizations are reinventing themselves for growth and competitiveness in this post COVID-19 pandemic digital-first world. They are seeking new ideas and best practices to augment their leverage of resources and to accelerate their digital delivery capabilities. Cloud-centric business and operating models have become integral components of today's modern IT environment. The economic and physical repercussions from the pandemic have exposed the importance of flexibility and resiliency, and organizations of all sizes regard cloud as a vital component of their digital-first strategy.

This first of the AP Cloud Buyer and Intentions report series draws insights from AP Cloud Survey 2022 to demarcate an overview of cloud adoption and investment trends among Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) technology buyers. We examine these through the lens of cloud workloads, playbooks, and personas. IDC concludes with essential guidance to technology supplier on how to address key technology buyer pain points, become their trusted advisor, assume the role of a bridge builder for multicloud, and assist APEJ organizations to unlock the value of data.
