This IDC Market Note discusses and provides IDC's viewpoint on Spark New Zealand's half-year results announcement for FY23, delivered on February 22, 2023. Spark is performing well in mobile services, but it has some catching up to do in its broadband and cloud, security, and service management segments.
"The second half will be crucial for Spark," says Monica Collier, associate research director, IDC Australia/New Zealand. "The telco cannot rely on seasonal revenue skewing and increasing roaming revenues but will be upping its game on realising opportunities, maximising competitiveness, and executing cost discipline activities," she continued.
