Dubai – A recent survey conducted by International Data Corporation (IDC) found that 33% of government CIOs in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) are currently deploying or exploring AI and machine learning applications, while 32% are prioritizing robotic process automation over the next 12-18 months with the aim of driving innovation and delivering world-class services.

"The mission of national governments around the world is to provide effective services to citizens, residents, tourists, and visitors while improving outcomes for both constituents and the countries themselves," says Jyoti Lalchandani, IDC's group vice president and managing director for the META region. "With this goal in mind, government organizations across the region — and particularly those in the UAE — are increasingly embracing innovative digital technologies to help make intelligent policy decisions and ensure the delivery of seamless end-to-end services. Looking ahead, IDC strongly believes that countries whose governments have taken steps to accelerate their digital investments and implement national transformation strategies will prove to be more resilient to potential future shocks and long-term stresses."

Such strategies will take center stage at the UAE edition of the IDC Public Sector Congress 2022, which takes place tomorrow (November 22) at Abu Dhabi's Dusit Thani hotel. Hosting the country's most influential government and public sector transformation experts, the event will address a range of today's most pressing topics, presenting essential guidance on the use of chatbots and data intelligence to personalize services and exploring strategies for accelerating digital innovation while protecting privacy and fostering digital sovereignty.

To further demonstrate the realities surrounding innovative digital implementations, IDC is delighted to welcome industry leaders Dynatrace (Host Partner) and CPX (Strategic Partner) onboard for the UAE edition of the IDC Public Sector Congress 2022. Dynatrace's vice president of sales engineering, Roman Spitzbart, will participate in a panel discussion that will address the complex challenges of hybrid deployments and the critical importance of data sovereignty for cloud providers.

The packed agenda also sees CPX's chief cyber defense officer, Hadi Anwar, host a panel discussion titled 'Building Trust and Security into the Public Sector Digital Journey'. This session will explore the importance of citizen trust and data privacy and explain why it is necessary for government security leaders to treat cybersecurity as a strategic initiative and infuse cyber resilience into every facet of their organizations.

The event will draw attendees from a diverse range of the UAE's government organizations and ministries, and highlights will be available to be viewed on the IDC Public Sector Congress 2022 website.

IDC's partners for the UAE edition of the IDC Public Sector Congress 2022 also include leading tech players such as Bespin Global, Salesforce, Kaspersky, and Oracle as Platinum Partners and CoreStack, Alpha Data, Juniper, Atos, and Veeam as Gold Partners.
