IT Leaders Gather in Abu Dhabi for Latest Installment of the IDC Security Roadshow
Abu Dhabi – International Data Corporation (IDC) today hosted the UAE edition of its IDC Security Roadshow 2022, with more than 100 of the country's most influential security leaders in attendance at the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche. The event addressed the theme 'Elevating the Security of the Future Enterprise'.
"Today’s security leaders are examining cybersecurity through a strategic-, business-, and industry-focused lens," says Shilpi Handa, IDC's associate research director for security in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, who presented the event's opening keynote. "Ensuring efficient and effective security across the entire enterprise is a necessity at a time when networks are evaporating, endpoints are proliferating, and relentless adversaries are continually adapting their tactics, techniques, and procedures. In order to defend the new attack surface, organizations need to strategize around output-driven people, processes, and technology initiatives. To this end, 45% of organizations surveyed recently by IDC across the META region said they are now embedding security into the planning, initiation, and assessment phases of all new business initiatives."
The UAE edition of the IDC Security Roadshow 2022 explained why ensuring visibility and control across the entire technology footprint is now vital for organizational survival. With pressing challenges to the security of the future enterprise firmly in mind, industry experts explored a raft of transformative technologies, dissected the ever-growing threat landscape, and examined the increasingly sophisticated nature of cyberattacks. The event showcased insights from a range of respected industry thought leaders as they presented sessions on topics such as:
• Securing Modern Applications: What You Need to Know Now
• The Role of Threat Intelligence Within Cyber-Defense Strategies
• Why Securing Privileged Accounts Is the #1 Priority for CISOs
• Extended Detection & Response: Demystifying Common Myths About XDR

• Confidently Secure Your Datacenter Applications
• Why Immutable Storage Must Be a Cornerstone of Your IT Security Strategy
