CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND, 30 November 2022 – IDC and Brightstar announced the 2022 CIO Awards winners during a gala dinner at Te Pae Convention Centre in Christchurch 29th November 2022. The awards recognise both individuals and teams, highlighting their strong and meaningful leadership, innovative and future-oriented approach, and strategic decision-making. Each is contributing to the successes of New Zealand organisations, the prosperity of Aotearoa’s digital economy and cultivating local ICT talent.

Highlights include:
Alistair Vickers, Chief Information Officer, Tū Ora Compass Health, was named as CIO of the Year, and
Peter Beck received an award for his outstanding contribution to business and technology in New Zealand, promoting Aotearoa as a leading innovator on the world stage, in space and beyond.
