Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight addresses the ongoing debate whether enterprises prefer an agent-based cloud workload security solution over an agentless one or if there is a preference for both to be employed. The results are broken out by company size: 500-999 employees, 1,000-2,499 employees, and 2,500+ employees. In addition, the results are summarized by the following industry segments: utilities, resources and construction, education, telecom, professional services, finance, government, retail/hospitality/wholesale, healthcare, and manufacturing. The data is derived from IDC's U.S. Cloud Security Survey, conducted in December 2022.
