Abstract
This IDC Survey is based on IDC's QuickPoll of 105 U.S. enterprises with more than 1,000 employees that was conducted in February 2023 and managed by IDC's Global Primary Research Group. Both the maturity and performance of personalization efforts declined in our 2023 sample compared with 2022. This held true across all six channels and eight metrics IDC asked about in the survey. The reasons why might include survey sampling, greater understanding of what highly personalized interactions involve, greater understanding of the lack of real-time capabilities, and/or diminishing improvements over previous years.
