Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights data from IDC's October 2022 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending (FERS) Survey, Wave 9. While, globally, C-suite executives agree that digital experiences are the way forward, the looming recessionary sentiment shows a bearing on the criteria that executives use in making CX vendor purchase decisions. IDC’s FERS survey results from October 2022 show that purchase decision criteria vary between upmarket and midsize enterprise executives.

The purpose of the FERS survey series (12 monthly surveys) is to explore a range of topics related to technology spending priorities, digital resiliency, and technology/organizational priorities. This survey solicited replies from 817 respondents across the United States, Europe, and Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan), as well as across a range of industries.
