Abstract

This IDC Perspective draws on findings from IDC's 2022 Future of Operations Worldwide Survey to explore the role of cloud technology in operations. Embracing cloud technology is proving beneficial and increasingly necessary for any organization pushing forward with the digital transformation of their operations. The key cloud characteristics — scalability, accessibility, and depth of capabilities — help organizations better extract new insights from their operational data and become more data driven.
