Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines manual data labeling, cited as one of AI buyers' top data preparation challenges. While massive amounts of data are produced and collected daily, the lack of high-quality, unbiased data to train AI models remains a problem. Data labeling and annotation tools address sparse data challenges, enabling more timely and more accurate AI applications. This IDC Survey Spotlight is based on data from IDC's 2022 AI StrategiesView Survey, conducted in May 2022. This question surveyed 1,403 respondents from a variety of industries worldwide.
