Abstract
This IDC study provides a forecast for the U.S. wearable device installed base for the 2022–2026 period.
"With wearables gaining salience in the United States, we expect the installed base for these devices to hold steady over the next several years," says Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's Wearables team. "What will bear close observation is how the market will shift. Advanced smartwatches can expect healthy growth in the years ahead, and underpinning them is a well-heeled Apple and a resurgent Wear OS. Likewise, smart earwear will remain mostly steady. All other products will see steady decline in the installed base."
