Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the share of applications that are optimized for the edge by five developer personas, namely, front-end developers, back-end developers, full-stack developers, mobile developers, and database developers. In particular, the document examines the share of developers that optimize more than 60% of the applications they develop for the edge. In addition, it provides commentary on IDC's understanding of the current state of edge computing and steps technology suppliers should begin to take to capitalize on the market opportunity for edge-native developer solutions.
