Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight, drawn from IDC's May 2022 Intelligent Digital Workspace (IDW) Survey, highlights the organizational barriers facing enterprises as they adapt to the new world of hybrid work. It also provides guidance for service management and virtualization vendors about leveraging their existing messaging and products to clearly show customers how they can help overcome these barriers.

"The world has only grown more complex as both geopolitical and labor market instability add chaos to already-strained enterprise operations," said Shannon Kalvar, research director, IT Service Management and Client Virtualization, IDC. "As things are not likely to go back to being 'simple' for the foreseeable future, we will need to adapt the way we approach challenges in order to meet our customers in the moments where they need us most."
