Abstract


This Tech Buyer Presentation discusses the need for key performance indicators (KPIs) to show and improve capability and capacity in an enterprise's support for IT products and services.

Future IT, the foundation of IDC's Future Enterprise, depends on IT products and services to foster resilience and enable a company to respond to customers' changing needs, new business models, and needed instrumentation. Readers of this presentation will benefit from the definition of five areas used to assess enterprise maturity and guide actions that define and improve the journey to a digital-first enterprise. Examples of KPIs are given for each of the five areas, both strategic in nature as appropriate for the attention of the C-Suite and the board of directors and tactical to communicate the performance to the IT organization and internal customers of IT.
