Abstract

This IDC study provides an assessment of prominent SaaS and cloud-enabled maintenance and facility management application vendors with a significant presence in enterprises with 1,000+ employees. It discusses what criteria are most important for companies to consider when selecting a maintenance and facility management application for a large company. And it is meant as an aid to organizations needing to invest in SaaS and cloud-enabled maintenance and facility management applications.

"There are more options than ever before to bring the state of facilities and maintenance into a digital model. Recent events have highlighted the value of time spent inside facilities and therefore the state of those facilities must be maintained to the utmost degree. Equally, equipment maintenance must be conducted in an intelligent fashion with organizations constantly refining the processes and software solutions used to keep equipment running at peak efficiency," says Bob Stallard, research manager, Enterprise Asset Management and Smart Facilities at IDC. "Organizations must think about today's and tomorrow's needs and then evaluate SaaS maintenance and facility management application vendors, according to their strategies and capabilities, in aspects of customer engagement, configurability, vendor management, mobility, enterprise intelligence, and IoT."
