Japan DX Professional Services Forecast, 2022−2026
Abstract
This IDC study summarizes the digital transformation (DX) professional services market's performance in 2021 and forecasts for the period from 2022 to 2026 by four major technology areas (for cloud, business analytics [BA], enterprise mobility, and social business). In 2021, the DX professional services market grew significantly with a resumption of growth after a temporary decline in 2020 because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. After 2022, IDC expects all segments to continue to increase at double-digit compound annual growth rates (CAGRs). However, the overlap areas among the four sectors will increase in the latter half of the forecast period (2024–2026).
"The migration of existing systems to the cloud and the development of DX and data-driven businesses will stimulate demand for professional services, and the market will continue to grow at a high rate. In particular, professional services for cloud will continue to grow at a high rate even after the spending size exceeds 1 trillion yen in 2022, and will reinforce its position as a core service among DX professional services," says Takuya Uemura, IT services group manager, IDC Japan.
