"The way that the SD-WAN infrastructure market has grown in 2021 says a lot about how the market is evolving," according to Len Padilla, senior research director at IDC. "Large and established vendors with a static or fragmented portfolio are not matching the market's overall growth, while vendors bringing strong security features, a channel-focused strategy, or well-integrated hardware and services offer are thriving. IDC thinks that in the coming quarters, a network-as-a-serving (NaaS) proposition that combines SD-WAN with other networking and security features will provide differentiation and further increase leading vendors' market shares."
